Threat Name: Virus found HTML/Framer
Started getting the same deal this evening. Always in my temporary internet file. I first noticed in one of my own lifeyo.com sites. Then found at places like Ticketmaster and others. I wonder if AVG is having another definition issue... I hope that's all it is. Somehow I feel better seeing a huge thread here with a lot of other users having the same problem.
I am having a similar problem. AVG is disabled on my browser already. The following sites have had multiple threat detection-Gmail,National Weather Service, AVG. There could be more but these are the only sites I have been to since this garbage started this afternoon. When I run a scan there are no infections detected. Sure would be nice to hear something from AVG on this since so many people are having the same issue!!
Dear beaumont, tryed what u said about opening start, then typing in iexplore, and the rest, there were not add ons with avg, but what was there i disable it and try logging in and as soon as i did the pop ups started, any more suggestion?, im really open to try anything to det rid of this problem
please be informed that false positive detection "HTML/Framer" (www.google.com/recaptcha/api/js/recaptcha_ajax.js, BrowserCompAp.js) was already fixed with latest virus database update 271.1.1/3006 released 7/15/2010 6:44 AM CEST.
Please update AVG virus database and check the websites once again.
could you please check you are using latest AVG virus database 271.1.1/3006 and browsers were restarted (just for sure) since the update?
There are no differential virus database updates for Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
Please keep in mind that this false positive detection HTML/Framer is currently related only with mentioned files (www.google.com/recaptcha/api/js/recaptcha_ajax.js, BrowserCompAp.js), there still exists other websites (files), which really contain this type of infection.
