Two days ago I received a notice from AVG telling me it had protected me from a threat - Exploit Fake Flash Player Type 1734. I closed the window and assumed that was the end of that.
About 10 minutes later, the same message appeared and has done religiously every 10 minutes since. I can't do anything on the computer it's running so slow. I've run 3 AVG full computer scans, it says it's found threats etc and protected me from them but then the same message as before will appear straight after.
I have tried starting the computer in safe mode but it stops on start up.
Why isn't AVG healing me from this virus? It seems to just get rid of the immediate threat but not get rid of the origins of the virus at all or even attempting to do so.
I desperately need help to get rid of this ASAP, I have work that needs doing and I'm getting so far behind! It's a nightmare!
I am getting multiple messages about these fake flash players being trapped by AVG, both 1734 version and a new one type 82 over night i have 12 separate detections, this is becoming a serious issue, is there some registry clean up, is there a Trojan file calling for these attacks lodged in my computer, how do i resolve it permanently?
