Guess what everyone - we've all got a virus! This ib.adnxs.com virus thingy apparently get's through even the BEST paid for anti-virus software. We have all d/l'ed something recently that let this malicious thing in and the way I understand it, it makes things worse and worse for our computer until it crashes us. We have to remove IT - all associated files - and messed up registry files.
I have been trying to do this, but every step by step removal guide I find wants me to remove the "random.exe" file before cleaning up the registry - but I don't have "random.exe" in my list anywhere. I'm at a loss! I will continue to look on my unaffected computer for some kind of fix and if I find anything, i'll repost.
Until then - if anyone can find anything useful on this - ib.adnxs.com - problem - PLEASE come back and post.
I'm having this same problem too and it seems to have started after I updated Firefox earlier this morning. I've run Malwarebytes and it hasn't found anything on the computer. I'm at a complete loss of what to do. What's going on?
I've been getting the same thing since this morning (malicious site blocked: ib.adnxs.com etc.) on Chrome, and got a similar warning pop-up on Firefox, so my question is where do we go from here? Do we wait for AVG to get back to us? Do we call them?
I'm not sure if the problem is related to updates. I don't know enough about it, but I noticed Chrome acting up first, and only after I got annoyed at closing the warning every minute did I switch to Firefox. That didn't help of course, since I started getting warnings through that browser as well.
