My laptop is infected with the Ukash-virus / ransomware. The desktop screen is "locked". On the screen various messages show up that I should pay $100 / € 100 to "unlock" my laptop.

My laptop specifications:

Sony SVT131A11M
Windows 8
500 GB HDD / 32 GB SSD
Intel I3 core

AVG Rescue specifications:

AVG rescue cd version 130801
AVG version 13.0.3115
virus database version 3222/6746
Virus database release date sun, 13 oct 2013 06:25:00 +0000

I used the Update function in AVG Rescue to succesfully update the antivirus engine(s).

The problem is that my Windows volumes/partitions are not mounted. Thus I cannot perform a AVG scan on these volumes/partitions.

I tried the option Mount in AVG Rescue, but still the Windows volumes/partitions are not found/mounted.

As far as I know, I didn't use any encryption (TrueCrypt or PGP).

The only mounted volume that is known, is my usb-stick (/mnt/sdc)

I attached the AVG Rescue log files compressed in a zip-file.

Hope you guys and girls can help me with this problem.

Thank you,

Hello andreasrosa,

For help on your virus issue please try log as different user usually only one profile is infected or start Windows in Safe Mode.

For Rescue CD thing please try referring to this.

Thank you
