Since installing AVG internet security business edition 2012 I can not use remote access. I turned off AVG and this allowed remote access to work. Would disabling avg firewall solve this and how do I do this.

Adding your network into IP address whitelist as described in this thread may also help.

Should the issue persist, please induce the issue and download and run fwdiag tool again and provide us with results along with firewall config file fw.cfg which can be found in C:\Progam Data\AVG2012\cfgall\ hidden folder.
