After I installed the AVG Rescue CD on a 8GB usb stick and find no use for it anymore, I formatted it for daily use. Half of the capacity is gone! Where is it and how do get my lost 4GB back? I used FAT32 and NTFS and the cards default to format. Running win7,.

Hello bob8627k,
Downloaded ISO file might have been corrupted or there could be some corruption when creating USB.
Try to download AVG Rescue CD again and re-create it.
If possible, try different USB booting options in your BIOS.
Some motherboards can also cause this error when booting from USB, other option would be to burn the AVG Rescue CD to optical disk.
Thank you
