I have an old DOS Medical Application. Operating system is XP. When I installed AVG 9.0 and scanned my hard drives, all DOS EXE files were moved to Virus Vault. McAfee did not find them infected. How do I get them back?

If you need to restore deleted files from AVG Virus Vault you can do it this way:
- Open AVG user interface.
- Choose "Virus Vault" option from the "History" menu.
- Locate the file that was incorrectly removed and select it (one click).
- Click on the "Restore" button.

Is it possible to have AVG ignore these DOS files. I was able to restore but AVG keeps telling me a threat has been detected.

Have you tested the file at Jotti Virusscan or alternatively at VirusTotal to check for detection ratio between several AntiVirus vendors?....

Reporting suspected false positives to virus@avg.com.... Only option available as an AVG Free user.... Please follow these instructions What to do if you suspect a detection is a false positive.
