I run Windows XP. Whenever I try to upgrade to free version 9, error codes appear. What do they mean?
19/11/2009: 0xE0018D04, then:
0xE0010001, then:
0xE0010001
23/11/2009: 0xC00705AF (twice)
25/11/2009: as per 23/11/2009, twice

Hi,

Error 0xE0010001 - Memory allocation failed.
Error 0xE0018D04 - Bad data.
Error 0xC00705AF - The paging file is too small for this operation to complete.

Please check you are using enough operating memory (512+ MB RAM). Else check hard disk and memory modules for errors.

Error Code 0xE001003D..

I too have been attempting to download the AVG 9 upgrade but get error code 0xE001003D.
What does this mean and what can be done?
I'm using Windows XP on a Dell dimention (about 5yrs old) but it has plenty of free space/ram.

Hi technophobe1066,

Please use the full AVG installation file http://free.avg.com/download-file-ins-afg-free instead of the download manager version to check, if installation will be then successful.

Error Code 0xE0010053..

what is error code 0xE0010053. I downloaded this free version 9 on another computer today without any problems at all

EDIT.. do I need to delete anything first?? before I tried to download version 9 I deleted version 8.5, and I have deleted all the associated files I am sure, and have run my cleaning programs also

Error Code 0xE0018D31..

I was downloading AVG when it stopped and the message popped up saying "were sorry to report that the download of the AVG installation files failed. Reason: Downloaded file is damaged. Error Code: 0xE0018D31. I downloaded it from the site. I tried both from download.com and directly from the site.

Please help me... I have no antivirus software on my computer
