:disappointed: After installing AVG2013, on Windows 7 Pro, I notice that three processes - AVGCSRVX.EXE, AVGRSX.EXE and AVGIDSAGENT.EXE are constantly reading and/or writing to the hard drive. I have tried disabling the CACHESERVER, but this made only a small difference.
What is going on? From a user point of view, I don't like this change to AVG. It makes it too intrusive and almost virus-like. Are there other places where I can turn off this activity?
This issue seems to be related to AVG toolbar. You can uninstall the AVG toolbar component from 'Programs & Features' in Control Panel. It seems that the AVG toolbar keeps logging all your browser activities, due to which it's constantly reading and/or writing to the hard drive.
