I'm looking into an anti-virus solution for my standalone Server 2008 R2 dedicated server and I think AVG File Server Edition would work (I don't want a firewall or the other features offered in business security, just a real-time scanner). There would be no local workstations connecting to the server, but there would be a number of ftp users and rdp users. Are connections referring to the workstation count (using windows shares) or to any kind of user login/connect (e.g. ftp/rdp accounts)?

Never mind, figured it out..

From the FAQ: "To select the correct license pack of AVG File Server Edition, count the number of workstations connected to the AVG protected file server."

Connections should be renamed to workstations, that would avoid a lot of confusion. Either way, I'm all set.
