I have the same problem and its nice to ask for a screenshot etc etc etc but when the phone is locked you can't make any screenshot at all sooooo........ seems that many ppl have this problem and all have the same problem they can't make a screenshot!!
The password i entered initially exceeded the 4-6 character requirement...so i kept putting in a long password and it kept coming up as incorrect. Try inputting the first 6 characters of the password which you provided AVG with if its longer than six characters. It unlocked fine. Hope this was helpful :smile: :smile:
I had the same problem and I solved it quickly with the help of the AVG customer care.
If it can help you I report what they suggested me to do:
"If you used the anti-theft service to lock your device, and forgot the unlock password which you have given in lock command, we can help with this. You can update the unlock password as follows:
Visit our AVG mobilation website : http://www.avgmobilation.com/anti-theft
Login with the Google account which you registered with Anti-theft service.
Please select the proper device from the select device drpo down menu.
You would see the "lock" tab.
Kindly click on it and type in your new lock password and click "Next".
You should get this prompt "Device lock command is successful", indicating that the lock command was successful and the phone is locked.
Now you may try to unlock the phone with the updated password.
Note: This procedure will work only if your device have an active cellular data/Wi-Fi connection. If your device is not accessing any internet service/switched off these features will not work."
I think there was a bug in AVG password registering software, as I can read in this forum: too many people with the same problem. I was quite sure the password I wrote was right, like these other customers.
