Hello. I have been experiencing repeated failures of the 2013 summer update on my machine (Win 7 64-bit). Sometimes a quick "windows installer failed", sometimes other behavior. I'd like to uninstall.

I Downloaded avg_remover_stf_x64_2013_2706.exe. Ran it as administrator. It quickly exited with the following log contents:

2013-04-01 15:33:46,782 INFO AvgRemover 2012.0.5

2013-04-01 15:33:51,744 INFO Attempting to uninstall toolbar

------------------------------
In some (but not all) attempts to run this tool, there is a request to run the tool during the following boot, with no apparent effect. Based on some forum replies, I ran the tool in windows safe mode. No effect.

I'd appreciate some help in getting the product removed. Do you have a document that gives a manual method for uninstalling?

Thanks very much.

Resolved..

This is resolved. There was no uninstall shortcut for AVG on my start menu, and the AVG app did not appear on the list of installed applications in the uninstaller app I normally use (Your Uninstaller), so I assumed that AVG uninstallation had to be done through the removal tool. Bad assumption. Uninstallation completed normally through the normal windows control panel. Thanks.
