Solved what ????..
It has not been solved ! We have a lot of customers that followed avg suggestion to delete the file and reboot the pc.
Wintrust has been deleted from windows\system32 and dllcache so now the workstations are continuously rebooting.
Restore last working configuration is not working. So we have to do it manually, and who pay for our job ?
Customers know it's a false positive and they say that avg is our responsibility if it's not a reliable product.

I'm in the same situation.
It's a shame. I'm seriuosly considering suggesting another antivirus to my customer.

AVG 2013 vs WINTRUST.DLL
By 4 different customers (in total 9 pc) we got the same wintrust.dll problem.
3 of them deleted on behalf of AVG suggestion and now workstations are restarting continuously.
We got more than 100 installations .. and so we're really worried about this.
Is there any official declaration from AVG team?
Thanks
Bye
Enrico

I'm sorry, this isn't working if you previously rebooted the PC.
I can't access anymore my Windows XP system so it isn't possible for AVG updating itself and solve the problem.
The computer is continuously trying to start WinXP w/o success, this means it's infinitely rebooting.
What can I do? the reboot problem seems to be common to every people that rebooted the pc after the crazy AVG update
