I reported 4 problems:

1) huge amount of system load since I changed to AVG 2913. I try to send you a screenshot.

2) In December AVG 2012 on my Laptop identified PixBuilder-Studio-Setup.exe as malware - a false positive reaction. At the same time no false positive from AVG 2013 at the Desktop PC.

3) AVG 2013 seems to have restrictions on network drives. I can scan single files via the LAN but it's not possible to scan directories.

4) last not least - during December this forum must have been reorganized. Since then I cannot find any of my previous postings. All postings from before are lost, I think they have been in the German branch of your Forum.
Other guys reported similar things.

Hello Manni1,

1) huge amount of system load since I changed to AVG 2913. I try to send you a screenshot.

In order analyze this issue we need at least Msinfo output.

2) In December AVG 2012 on my Laptop identified PixBuilder-Studio-Setup.exe as malware - a false positive reaction. At the same time no false positive from AVG 2013 at the Desktop PC.

AVG 2013 provides better detection/falses rate because scanning modules are updated/improved.

3) AVG 2013 seems to have restrictions on network drives. I can scan single files via the LAN but it's not possible to scan directories.

I am not sure what you mean by it "is not possible" any error message?

4) last not least - during December this forum must have been reorganized. Since then I cannot find any of my previous postings. All postings from before are lost, I think they have been in the German branch of your Forum.
Other guys reported similar things.

German forum has been removed together with all posts.

Thank you

Hello Pokornyz,

thanks for answering.

1) I send the requested msinfo-output as attachment.

3) Function "Datei scannen" => the selected file is scanned and the result is reported.
Function "ausgewählte Ordner scannen" => scanning of huge subdirectories takes no time, result details report zero scanned objects (look at attachment).

Oops- I just see- this is the same with __local__ directories when scanned manually.
What's that? Bug or feauture?

Last not least - nearly 2 months is a nice time to get answers reported in december...

Yours
Manfred

Where is no conflict in provided outputs, there are some errors please make sure that you have installed all windows updates and that all drivers are up to date.
Is system load caused by one AVG process or all of them?

Are you logged as administrator? Do you have sufficient access rights to those files?
Please send us new diagnostic data using this tool.

Thank you

Hello Pokornyz,

Windows 7 is updated, drivers are actual.

Scanning single files over network works with restricted users as well as admin user.
Scanning directories over network does not work with restricted users as well as admin.
Access to the remote computer is allowed for all the users I tried scanning.

Diagnositc tool "this tool" is not available:
"Die von Ihnen aufgerufene Adresse http:///filedir/util/support/runner_en.exe ist zurzeit nicht erreichbar"
The link refers to my local data... or whatever ///filedir may be.

Thank you

Actual situation is:

The system load is caused by one process - avgwdsvc.exe. One kernel from four shows load.

But look at posting #223439 from January - all kernels where used by AVG.
Maybe the system load is reduced since my original posting from December? Change of your processes?

I'll try the new link as soon as possible.

Edit - 28.2.13 - just now 4 kernels are working for AVG.

Yes, a lot of bugs were fixed since then.

In case your avgwdsvc.exe is still causing system load please provide us with screenshot of Resource monitor CPU tab.

Thank you

Hello Manni1,

To analyze that we are waiting for diagnostic data I requested.
Before sending data please reinstall AVG using latest version available on our web site (because SP1 version has been released).
