I recently uninstalled AVG free edition, and noticed that the first time I turned on my laptop after uninstalling an "uninstall survey" automatically popped up in Internet Explorer.
I filled the survey in, and submitted it. BUT - it's been reappearing every single time I turn on my computer.... I've tried filling it in, not filling it in, but it still comes up at every startup
It's so frustrating!!! How do I stop this from happening? I'm on Windows 7 starter edition.
please run the MS Autoruns utility once again and untick the highlighted item as seen on the attached screenshot.
The provided output revealed that you have more security products installed (Malwarebytes' and Ad-Aware resident service) which may lead to conflicts in future. It is also strange that the startup uninstall survey registry item has not been removed properly from the RunOnce registry key which should have been done by the operating system automatically. This could be caused by some resident registry protection and may lead to further similar issues (not connected to AVG) in future...
