AVG Free 2013 reported Trojan Horse Agent4.IRV had been found attached to Google Chrome.
I cannot find any info on this Trojan ?. Google says nothing relevant and no mention on this site.
Anyone know what this is ? confused

Thanks

trojan agent4. irv..

My AVG free also discovered the same Trojan horse agent4.IRV attached to chrome. The end of the file extension is \avcodec-54.dll\memory
There were 22 infections found, 11 healed, 11 not removed and healed.
Common result is: " object is inaccessible".

Multiple searches have revealed nothing.

Hi,

Your computer could still be infected with malicious software.

Follow Step 1 and 2 (under Removal Process) in this malware removal guide: http://www.selectrealsecurity.com/malware-removal-guide

If you have any questions about the instructions, just ask. Let me know if this helps you.

If the issue persists, Please provide more information (AVG scan result export, Msinfo output, GMER scan results) for closer analysis.

My free AVG 2012 also found this same Trojan Horse Agent 4 yesterday, also ending in avcodec-54.dll:\memory. It found 6 and deleted 3 but could not delete 3. I tried a System Restore to a day previous before the Trojan Horse was found, but it still shows in my Scan Results. I am running Windows XP. I had installed free AVG 2013 at an earlier date but it would not turn on my Identity Protection so I again did a System Restore to go back to 2012. Please advise how I can get rid of this. I am not a techie. Thank you!
