Hi Plustech,

There has to be a few files in the appdata folder. The database can be kept on the F:\ if required.

- If you right click the AVG Admin Server Monitor > Server Settings > 'AVG Data Center' tab
- There is a browse button to navigate to the database location.
- Save the settings and restart the Server.

(Or you can just edit the avgadmsv.ini file with the correct path, search for 'ConnectionString=' in the ini file > Restart the Admin Server after editing. )

Thanks,

Michael Allen

Hi Michael,

The Admin Server is back up and running after following your previous instructions for browsing to the database file. Thank you.

Are you waiting for anything from me on the GFI issue?

Thanks and regards,
Simon

Hi Plustech,

If the GFI software is still not able to query AVG. Please confirm if this file now exists since running the update command:

- F:\Program Files\AVG\AVG2012\avgapiimplx.dll

Attach the newest - avgapi*.log and avgupd.log

Thanks,

Michael Allen

Michael,

"F:\Program Files\AVG\AVG2012\avgmfapx.exe" /InstallAPI /UILevel=silent /AppMode=DOWNLOADMANAGER doesn't force an update. Is this expected?

Thanks, Simon

Hi Plustech,

It should force a silent update. After you run the command, if you open Task Manager, you should see the avgmfapx process running plus one or more msiexec.exe processes.

AVG will restart during the update process and if successful, their should be this dll present:

F:\Program Files\AVG\AVG2012\avgapiimplx.dll

Thanks,

Michael Allen

Michael,

No sign of avgapiimplx.dll.

Attached log files as requested.

Thanks, Simon
