Hi, When I go to the terminal and try to scan my home folder I get this in the terminal:

[nathan@vaio ~]$ su -
Password:
[root@vaio ~]# avgscan /home
AVG command line Anti-Virus scanner
Copyright (c) 2012 AVG Technologies CZ

Error: Component connection is unavailable. avgd is not running or is not yet fully initialized.
[root@vaio ~]#

No matter what command I give for AVG I get the same results. Any help would be appreciated becasue I need a working AV on my Linux PC.

Try to run avgctl --start before any other command.
