I would like to know how to turn off TuneUp or prevent it from starting, i checked the Registry 32 & 64 run locations, startup folder and scheduled tasks, but i cant find any entry that i can use to prevent tuneup from starting...
i would like to run TuneUp 2013 every month or so, not all the time, there is no need for that on my machine.

Strange request, usually everyone wants it running all the time. But until they have a simple switch you can do it this way.

To configure how a service is started using the Windows interface

Click Start, click in the Start Search box, type services.msc, and then press ENTER.

In the details pane (on the right side), right-click on AVG Tuneup Service "right" click then "left" click Properties.

Click Stop button, and wait a sec (which the tray icon will disappear, shutting it down right now)

On the General tab, in Startup type, click Disabled (which will keep it off)
