Same Problem..

Yes I have the same problem as Old Douglas on a Compaq notebook running XP. Again two error reports - the one identified as the process is deleted but the one identified the file is not. I am using AVG 2012.0.2221 (paid version)

Scanning the Synaptic directory does not identify a problem, just as Old Douglas found

I have the same problem. Here are the files you asked for. I had to use the older version of GMER when doing the full scan. Please help!

Dec 12th:
Just installed the recent AVG updates and have run a full scan. I guess it was a false positive? Anyway, scan happened without incident so I guess all sorted. Thank you.

The system won't let me delete the attachment, if someone else could do that I would appreciate it.
