Help...when I try to remove AVG Family Safety from my PC, I can no longer access the internet. Already cancelled my subscription and received a refund when the software did not work and technical support could not resolve. After forced to wait over 45 min with no answer, I give up! Please send me the instructions so I can remove this software from my computer!
Installed AVG FS on 3 systems.
It installed fine on the 2 Win7 systems.
Appeared to install ok on the Win8 system but does not show up in the assign profiles list in FS.
If I try to uninstall FS from the Win8 system the uninstaller gets stuck at "retrieving user information..." and never continues.
The debug log shows this:

Hi, received the email instructions, but no luck resolving the issues.
The instructions resulted in going a full circle.
I made it all the way to step 15 and then got stuck again.
The uninstall dialog is displaying a message "Please wait while
It does not proceed past this step.
The re-installation on the Windows8 system results are the same as before, does not show up under 'assign profiles', and there are still error messages in the log file.
The same thing is happening to me. I've used AVG Free Antivirus for years and loved that product. AVG Family Safety has frustrated me from the get-go. It won't allow me to access itunes store on my new Win 8 computer. I also cannot uninstall AVG Family Safety. I get stuck on the "retrieving user information" screen of the Control Panel uninstall utility.
It seems to work fine on my Win 7 computer, but I've had nothing but trouble with AVG Family Safety program on my new Win 8 computer. Maybe it's Apple, maybe it's Microsoft or maybe its AVG or all three. It doesn't matter to me, I just want the Family Safety program off my new computer. Please email me steps to remove AVG Family Safety from my computer.
