Hello,
I've noticed that the AVG virus scan slow down my computer drastically more than it used to. Its been happening for quite some time now. I used to be able to have the scan at high priority and still be able to open up google chrome and browse the internet no problem, but now I can't even do that when i have the scan set at user friendly.

My computer is running windows 7 64-bit, Intel Core i5 2.3 GHz, and 6 GB RAM.

For help on your issue please refer to this article to completely uninstall AVG 2012 and install AVG 2013.

Also please make sure you have installed all windows updates and that your drivers are up to date.
