Hi,

I have AVG Free 2013 installed on my Windows 8 Pro RTM. Action Center constantly says that the status of AVG is off! But when I check AVG, everything is green! When I want to turn AVG on in the Action Center, it does nothing. Status stays off. No error whatsoever. It's very annoying. I want those messages in Action Center gone, if AVG is indeed on. As it should be.
Already tried to repair the installation, didn't work.

I have the latest update: 2013.2741

Is this a bug? Please fix it?

Same issue here...

I'm having the same problem too, even though my definitions are all up to date. I'm not worried because AVG says "You are protected." but it would be nice for Win8 to recognize that. Maybe it'll come soon in an update?

Same Problem..

I Have The same Problem running Windows 8 Pro with media Centre 64 bit action centre states no firewall running and avg is snoozed no anti virus and no spy/malware installed have looked on other websites and looks like it a bug in windows as has been reported on nortons and other big internet security web sites

we just have to wait for a fix from Microsoft only thing I suggest is to turn off all messages about the problem in action centre as avg is working

Good to know..

Hi guys,

It's good to know I am not the only one with this problem, thanks for responding! I did not try the fix yet (posted a few posts above this one). Indeed, AVG says I'm protected with updated definitions and all, but it's Action Center that says it's not turned on. I also thought AVG is working, but it's still annoying this message appears. I rather won't turn off the messaging either, because I want to be alerted when it is indeed the case that AVG is not running (in situations this bug is already fixed).

I have tried this, but still the same issue persists. Please fix this, cause it's still annoying.
