I have one question and one "bug report"

1) I would like to understand why AVG Anti-Virus comes with it's own version of the Visual Studio Redistributables. There is a Microsoft version which gets updates via Microsoft Update/Windows Update. Is the AVG version updated via the AVG AV update function?

2) I installed AVG 2013 over the predecessor version and the old redistributables (Visual Studio 2008) were not removed from the computer so I had to remove them manually via add/remove software. (screenshot attached). This seems to be a bug as the AVG version of the redistributables are probably not used by other applications and AVG 2013 comes with the newer Visual Studio 2010 Redistributables.

Yes, they are updated in case it is necessary.

2) I installed AVG 2013 over the predecessor version and the old redistributables (Visual Studio 2008) were not removed from the computer so I had to remove them manually via add/remove software. Yes, 2008 Redistributables should be uninstalled with uninstallation of AVG 2012.

Thank you

Further versions?..

I have 3 versions of this on my computer. I have the latest AVG updates installed and would like to know if I need all of these versions. I have:

Visual Studio 2010 x64 Redistributable Version 13.0.0.1 12.4 MB
Visual Studio 2012 x64 Redistributable Version 14.0.0.1 12.9 MB
Visual Studio 2012 x64 Redistributable Version 14.0.0.1 10.5 MB

These seem extremely redundant. The first one was installed on 9/30/2012 and the others were installed on 9/30/2013. Very confused on what is required. I know they are small, but when this is sitting on an SSD, every MB counts. Also, I don't like clutter on my Programs list. (OCD kicking in)
