After an unsuccessful program update I decided to uninstall AVG and install it again. I had problems uninstalling it so I had to remove the folders and everything manually as described in http://forums.avg.com/ww-en/avg-forums?sec=thread&act=show&id=171231.

I also downloaded and ran the AVG remover tool, but it crashes right in the middle of everything so I couldn't complete it.

I am now trying to re-install AVG but i get the following error message during the installation process:

Severity: Error
Error code: 0xC0070643
Error message: General internal error.
Additional message: MSI engine: Failed to install the product.
@AVGMSI_Error1317
(0xC0070525)
Context: AVG product installation, MSI action failed

I have had the same problem before and ultimately had to reinstall my OS since I couldn't solve this (and I very much want to keep using AVG).

I would greatly appreciate all the help you can provide. Log files are attached.

Hello absorba,

Please uninstall Spybot. More information can be found here.

In order to further analyze your issue please provide us with process crash dump (Post-Mortem).

Thank you

Extract from the provided link - If the archive is larger than 2 megabytes, please upload the archive to our FTP server using this service utility (download it to your Desktop and run it). Alternatively, you can use a public online storage service (RapidShare, FileFront etc.) and provide us with a link to the file.
