I did a rootkit scan on a Win7-64bit PC that has PGP installed on it and an encrypted hard drive. The scan found 49 potentially dangerous threats.

All display as File=<unknown>; Infection=Corrupted section...; Result=Object is hidden.

My question is could this be related to the PGP encryption or might this be an actual infection? I haven't noticed anything or successfully searched for anything related to AVG & PGP. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Hello SWWeatherGuy,

It may be possible that some clusters on your hdd become corrupt or there is some issue with PGP. Please run Hard Drive Check and provide us with results.

Also please send us results of Full Computer Scan so we can investigate the issue further.

Thank you.
