can you please provide us with export of AVG scan result (where Outlook is detected)? As previous users have the detection related with Identity Protection component (part of AVG 2011), which is not in AVG 9.0 Free.
Or at least some screenshots of the messages to get better overview of the situation.
As requested, please find attached:
- The AVG scan result from the time the problem began (note: it DOES NOT flag the outlook file - which is why I think this may be software posing as AVG)
- A screenshot of the error messages I've been getting
- A screenshot of the renewal notice ive been getting (is this definitely an AVG pop-up or phishing software?)
- A screenshot of my virus vault (AVG has not quaratined outlook.exe!)
I await your reply. FYI: I have also opened a case with your helpdesk: #0003159127
Screenshots provided display legitimate AVG windows. Your License is going to expire soon just as informed by the popup window.
Normal scan does not detect the file as it is detected by AVG Identity protection (Part of AVG 9 IS), not by Resident shield which is using scanning core.
As this forum is mainly focused to support AVG Free users, please wait for an email answer to your support request.
After sending AVG information/files from my computer over two months ago, I have been waiting for a reply from the product development team. Are they going to be able to determine how to resolve the Malware problem on my machine?
Please be informed the AVG 2012 Service Pack 1 version fixing the reported incorrect behavioral detection has been released. However, the Service Pack 1 is not available as an automated update yet; please run the AVG repair installation using the most recent installation package (as described in FAQ #4372, procedure number 2) if you'd like to install it as soon as possible.
More information about AVG 2012 Service Pack 1 can be found here.
