Hello,

I have a huge problem. I'm working on my thesis and I am under the attack of a nasty trojan horse: Generic27.PN. It keeps infecting files, and AVG keeps popping up with those infected files. I am using the free AVG scanner. I really need help because I want to contiunue my work!!!! So please help fast. Can you tell me what I need to do to get rid of the virus?

Please provide both Gmer scan results Msinfo output and AVG Anti-Virus scan results for further analysis.

Generic27.PN - same problem..

I have this same problem (less the thesis...). AVG and Malwarebytes detect a whole list of stuff in system 32 but Stinger doesn't. Anyway, may I submit these logs, too? Or, let me know if I should start a new thread.

I have the same problem too. Does anyone know how to remove this virus? I tried AVG Rescue CD but the virus still popping up all the time. Pls help me, I need it for work.

Thanks for replying. I attach the files you need.

I am getting lots of AVG Identity Protection Threat Detected windows. I move them to the vault but they seem to multiply.

Can I delete them or are they important Windows files?

Hello,

My brother seems to have solved the problem using RegistryOptimizer. If any of you owns the full version of this or can get your hands on one (or another full version registry cleaner type of software), then this program will likely solve all the registry malfunctions that Generic27.pn causes.

Thanks for the info! I presume you used the full purchased verison? Obviously worth it if it worked - so you don't have any more Threat Detected windows popping up?

Hi,

I also caught the Generic27.pn trojan last Friday 3 March.
Am very pressed for time.
I downloaded Gmer, but when I run it, in safe mode on my PC (Windows XP Sp3)
I get an error message:

Running Gmer:

Error:
Windows - No Disk (title of msg window)

Exception processing message c0000013 Parameters ....
=== end msg ===

I cannot Cancel, Try again or Continue

Please advise.
