Hello baby chick,

Unfortunately we were not able to open attached files, because of unknown password. Email address, you used for forum registration doesn't work (recommended password for attached files).

Please re attach your files with new password, or upload them, without password protection to our FTP server as described here, so we can analyse the issue further.

Also please follow Before Installing AVG sticky post and see whether some information mentioned there, will help to resolve the issue.

Thank you.

Hello baby chick,

In order to resolve the issue please delete following folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\MFAData (probably hidden and need administrator rights).
Then download latest Offline installation package and install it in a safe mode. Please inform us about the result.

If the issue still persist, please provide us with fresh Installation log files and MSinfo output.

Thank you

Hello baby chick,

Your computer appears to be infected.
Firstly, perform a full scan with updated AVG Rescue CD.

Then follow How To Revert Unwanted Configuration Changes Caused By an Infection.

Afterwards, completely remove Avast.
More information about using more than one security software with active resident part is available in this thread.

As a next step, follow AVG 2012 (incl. Previous Versions) Uninstall / Re-Install Instructions once again.

If the installation still fails or if AVG does not work properly, provide us with fresh installation log files and both GMER outputs.

Thank you
