Hi all

I am trying to solve AVG error on friends lappy and her problem is that Resident Shield is not active. It has Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. ZoneAlarm Free is installed see snip. AVG is showing two updates to download

Definitions update 5.8mb
Program update 11.9mb

Updating both of these gives Update Failed General error.

Can anyone assist please?

There may be some conflicts with Zone Alarm firewall or one of its components settings. Please temporarily un-install Zone Alarm and see whether issue persists.

Sorry I am really struggling with getting you the info, I have copied the log file and it is next to it named log copy.

I also got this

C:\USERS\FRED\APPDATA\local\temp\AVGDIGEX\AVGDIAGEX28264

but I cant see this now, nor can I search for it.

Can I not uninstall AVG and download it from scratch again?
