Firstly, please uninstall or disable resident parts of Malwarebytes Antimalware.
AVG works fine with Malwarebytes free as it does not have any resident part, but it appears that you are running paid version.
Using more than one security software with active resident part is not recommended and can cause conflicts and unpredictable computer behavior.

Afterwards, proceed with all steps described in full reinstallation instructions.

If the update still does not work correctly afterwards, provide us with fresh log files.
