Hi,

I have tried installing AVG 2012 free edition a few times over the last few months and I keep getting the same problem. I've searched and searched for answers but to no avail, and therefore starting this thread.

AVG Online Installer for windows, I get the following message "please specify your proxy settings / Connection failed" etc... It was suggested to me that I download the full version "AVG for Windows (32bit)" instead therefore and run that, but when I do I get the the following error message "0xE001003D"

I attach two screenshots and the Install Logs. I would be very grateful for any help.

EDIT by Will_h: corrected error code number.

If it doesn't help on your situation please provide us with new Msinfo output and Installation log files.

Thank you

Thanks. I followed the instructions, but unfortunately had exactly the same issue again.

After downloading http://af-download.avg.com/filedir/inst/avg_free_x86_all_2012_1901a4695.exe and running, I click 'Accept' then a message appears saying 'Expired installation package' but says that I may proceed by pressing the next button, but when I press this and 'Quick Install' I get the same error message as before 0xE001003D

I attach msinfo file but this time it will not allow me to 'Save Log'

Regards.

Hi Bonheddwr,

Please uninstall Microsoft security client and Lavasoft Ad-ware. For more info please refer to FAQ 4370. After that, please restart your computer, and try to install AVG again.

Hi

please try to delete following folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\MFAData (probably hidden and need administrator rights).
Then download latest Offline installation package and install it. Please inform us about the result.

If the issue still persist, please provide us with fresh Installation log files and MSinfo output.

Thank you
