Hello Depth,

In order to further investigate the issue, please provide us with all AVG logs, Msinfo32 output and process crash dumps.

Thank you.

also having VProtect error messages..

I get a message when opening every new page of my browser that says VProtect has stopped working. This occured right after running the AVG update yesterday. It is extremely annoying and I haven't found a solution when I Google.

All I can determine is that it is a funtion of AVG and wonder why I can't find help here on the issue. I will try and find the 'repair' option the Depth mentions but don't feel that I have enough information to know what to do.

VProtect working again apparently..

I downloaded the latest version of the free AVG 2012 and ran it in 'repair' mode. (There are 3 options: install, repair, remove.) After my computer restarted, I opened up my browser and now do not have the VProtect stopped working error message anymore.

It was easy.

Hello Lil-Mary,

Please perform repair installation using latest installation package.

If that does not help, provide us with outputs described in post 185192.

Thank you

Thank you, but as I said in my previous message I don't have AVG installed on my laptop anymore, so what do I do now to stop the VProtect error message from showing on start up?
