New install of Windows 7 with updates. IE9. AVG 2011. After some surfing getting a block at bottom right of IE9 stating "AVG has detected high memory usage by the following application: Windows Internet Explorer" Total memory used: 307 MB. Nothing in google about this message. Nothing in your forums??? Is this even a valid AVG message??? MalwareBytes and AVG 2011 full scan show no infections.

Help

Chris, Is your system suitable for upgrading to use the latest AVG 2012 application http://forums.avg.com/ww-en/avg-forums?sec=thread&act=show&id=170954(Scroll Down)?.

I get the same error, not long before I start using firefox. It's a popup in the lower left of the screen. I'll try to capture the screen next time it happens.

It does say to "click here" to change the AVG settings. Clicking there brings up the AVG settings dialog. I've gone through the dialog, but don't see where I can adjust the settings.

I'm not sure how AVG determines which apps should use how much memory. I have recently upgraded to 12GB so I can go crazy with photo editing. I'm sure AVG will be nagging me then.

Thanks for showing how to remove the notification, but can someone please tell us what it causing the notification and does removing the notification actually stop the "problem" from happening?

I've noticed that when I get those notifications if I don't close and reopen the browser IE gets very slow.
