This might not be the correct forum BUT

I’ve recently obtained a new laptop (Dell Latitude e6410) and am now using Windows 7
I’ve been running Windows Professional for years, no problems.
I’ve also had a Lexor flashstick 16GB which functioned no problems.
Just this weekend I wanted to access a folder on the flashstick and the titles/names etc seem to have been re-named with “wingdings”?
If I click on these files, the files etc come up with “The filename, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect”
Two folders, which I know I accessed last mid or so March, appear to be affected with this problem – nothing has happened to my C drive
I’ve run the AVG virus scan on the folders - - nothing comes up.
I’ve tried deleting and nothing happens they are still there.

Hello rolandonz,

It looks like hardware issue.

For help on your situation please perform Hard Drive Check on your flash disk.

Thank you
