Please provide us with MSinfo32 output:
- Click on the "Start" button.
- Choose the "Run" option.
- Please type the "msinfo32" (without quotes) command to the command line and confirm by clicking on the "OK" button (or press Enter).
- After the tool is launched, please choose the "File" menu and the "Save..." option.
- Choose a name.
There is known conflict between AVG 2011 and ZoneAlarm toolbar (search forum for ZoneAlarm toolbar to see what other havoc it can cause).
This may not be your problem but if you have ZoneAlarm toolbar, un-install using windows add/remove programs (no need to un-install the firewall). Then try scanning again.
Worked for me (after I had spent 4 hours on the support phone un-installing, re-installing, removing using AVG removal tool, diagnostics ...)
UPDATE: After doing more research, I discovered that latest version of ZoneAlarm 9.2.102.000
specifically refers to a conflict with AVG 2011, so you might want to install latest ZoneAlarm instead of un-installing toolbar.
