Ever since installing today's update, it keeps saying it has to reboot, but when it reboots it gives me that message again.

I'm using avg 2011 on a Windows 7, 64bit machine

Same problem..

First it crashed the system, then my system recovered, then I still allowed the update to go again, didn't crash but continues to request restart.......

Stop the update manager, search on "stopping AVG 2011 updates" for information

Same here..

After updating AVG Free last night & rebooting, my system crashed, I got BSOD! After repairing & restoring I have my system back up but I continue today to receive a notice from AVG Free to reboot even though AVG console shows that I'm protect & updated, am I??? Please fix this or give us a work around!

Windows Vista Home Premium x64

Hello all,

Please accept our sincere apologies for this unpleasant situation.

I would like to ask you to check this announcement post and follow described steps. You can also use modified AVG Rescue CD for USB medium described at FAQ 4080, which contains automatic solution, when affected computer is booted from it.

If you have just AVG restart loop request, please completely reinstall AVG 2011 Free (especially remove these AVG folders - CFG, CFGALL).

Thank you for your cooperation and patience
