Installation Problem

Installing AVG Free 8.5
No GUI to get database info
Previous version AVG 7.0

******************************
Windows Xp sp3
AVG 8.5 was working?? ( trying to re-install, appears that the GUI and the Icon are effected )
Windows Defender
Ad-Aware 2007 ( recently removed )
Spy-Bot S&D ( recently removed )

How to check if I'm using Administrative account on Windows XP

To check if you are logged into Windows XP as a user with administrative rights, please:

* open menu Start -> (Settings) -> Control Panel
* click "Switch to classic view" in the top left pane, if this option is available
* open User Accounts

There will be all user accounts listed on the page. Each account has some status (Computer administrator, Limited account, etc.). Before installing or reinstalling AVG, or prior to proceeding with any action that requires administrative access, please make sure that you are logged under an account with the status "Computer administrator".

=> Error 0x80070005 - Access is denied.
Use “Reset_Access” utility and check all other anti-spyware solution as most probably other application (SpyBot, Spyware Terminator, …) has blocked the access during installation

Found my error on this forum, used the batch file.
Bat file stated to post/email this zip file

When you installed AVG did you disable Windows Defender then restart your system & then after install restart twice before re-enabling.

Disable Windows Defender http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=95470. (For 'General Settings' read 'Options')

Many users don't disable the other protection programs as they should so they can stop AVG from installing properly.... this can stop AVG from adding in its required startup items. We always recommend temporarily disabling before installing....& restart the computer twice before re-enabling.
