This upload problem is a continuing nuisance, so I look forward to a resolution. It's the first serious problem I've ever had with AVG but it is sufficiently serious that I, like others I know, will have to move to a different supplier if there is no resolution. I have just spent a week trying to achieve upload of 2 critical files for a Distributed Computing application. I was convinced it was a server problem until a co-worker stumbled on the solution a couple of hours ago. The symptoms are exactly the same as other users have reported for gmail and yahoo, except I am not using either of those systems. I see that this has been in discussion since November. It will be March in 3 hours. Are you able to accelerate the solution?

Regards

I have encountered the same problem and like Lockleys wasted a lot of time isolating the problem application. I'm not sure just what AVG is doing but it is worrying that the AVG can interfere with a working, legitimate application.

Is there a fix to stop this happening (eg disable some AVG component) or a fix so that AVG allows normal working of my application?

Hi,

if you are not using ZoneAlarm firewall, you could disable AVG LinkScanner Active Surf-Shield component, or AVG Network Redirector driver - http://forums.avg.com/ww-en/avg-free-forum?sec=thread&act=show&id=55431#post_55431

But please be informed that the fix should be released in a few days.

Thanks

Thanks, ondraploteny. How will we spot when the relevant correction has been issued? I would say I have had other updates to LinkScanner since this first became a problem last November so I am reluctant to assume that the next update will be the one.

Hi,

some clarification at first - even that this thread is in AVG8 section, it is related with upload issue with AVG9.

You could look at this stickie of AVG9 release notes - http://forums.avg.com/cz-en/avg-free-forum?sec=thread&act=show&id=25409 - as soon as there will be new update (probably numbered 9.0.785, it will be the mentioned update).

Thanks

Yes I have used AVG for 12 years and never had a problem...but I am really frustrated that AVG 9 has SUDDENLY stopping me upload my Distributed Computing Files from Boinc (I have been running projects on Boinc for 5 years with no problems from AVG)

Please can you fix the problem that has recently stopped me uploading my files.

Thanks

Hi,

you could follow my previous post to check the situation, but recommended is to wait for next program update (which will be soon released).

Thanks
