Last night the avgdiagex error message started popping up when I turned my laptop on. Until then it had run fine.

I run Windows 7 with AVG Anti-Virus 2012 Free Edition. I once ran Kapersky Anti-Virus 2011 but I uninstalled that about a month after having the computer and installed AVG instead.

I think I've attached what's needed (file: tparker@hollins.edu946.7z. ) but to be honest I'm not really sure how to do it though I followed the helpful directions.

I preformed the Memory Test and the Hard Drive Check.

GMEr..

Also, I run Windows 7 64 bit so when I attempted to do the GMER scan as has been recommended to people with the same problem I could not do it the way it was set up. I did run the Rootkit scanner and the malware part of it and it showed no modifications.

Analysis of the dump files was inconclusive, please follow post 183115, enable gflags, wait for the error message to appear again and provide us with fresh dump files.

Hello KissofLye,

Please proceed as follows to provide us with new detailed diagnostic data:

1. Extract the attached gflags.zip(please make sure that you are using file attached to this post) archive to a folder of your choice.

2. Run the extracted gflags_enable.bat file.

3. Restart the computer.

4. Wait for the crash to occur.

5. Provide us with newly generated dump files from C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AVG2012\Dumps.

6. Run the extracted gflags_disable.bat file and restart your computer once again.

Could you please confirm that there are no other fresh files created after the crash than provided .exh file?
Please also provide us with all AVG log files.
