Hi,
I am running a Windows 98 SE machine for my nephew with very basic configurations such as a 40 GB hard drive, embedded graphics etc.
It used to have AVG 7.5 installed on it and due to the disconituation of the product, i decided to uninstall it to make way for another 98 compliant antivirus software. The uninstallation ran smooth and when I rebooted the PC, it came up with the following messages
\PROGRA~1\GRISOFT\AVGFRE~1\AVG7CORE.VXD
\PROGRA~1\GRISOFT\AVGFRE~1\AVG7RS.VXD
\PROGRA~1\GRISOFT\AVGFRE~1\AVGTDI.VXD
After each message, there was " Press a key to continue". It eventually boots up to the operating system but these annoying messages delay the bootup processes. I ran everything under the sun from softwares such as CCleaner to clean up the registry to no avail.
Any help in this matter would be appreciated.
regards,
Rob
