@ cesurasean

Just to make sure that you are fully aware this forum is only manned by other AVG Free users... (and when available AVG employees)... we don't work for AVG Technologies. Some moderators of this forum are volunteers and contribute their time freely. If you see the AVG logo avatar that signifies that the person works for AVG Technologies. The forum is monitored by the AVG Team so your questions / comments will probably be noted & they may post but unfortunately there is no direct contact for users.... i.e. AVG Technologies don't provide direct tech support for AVG Free. However this is available with the Pro either Trial or Paid for version.

Hopefully a member of the AVG Team based @ Brno in the Czech Rep will see your post & reply but please bear in mind it's early Saturday morning there (Czech Rep time 00:55) & also the weekend so it'll probably be @ least Monday.

I am with cesurasean same message. tried download manager but it failed. tried direct download to desktop and install, failed. Cannot run instal in safe mode need to access firewall etc. found mention of problem with personal identity protection tried turning it off in advanced install, failed.

The only thing that I did do on the first install was to decline the installation of the Yahoo Toolbar. I can tell you the only thing of this AVG 2011 installation that has installed, partially or fully, is the Yahoo stuff. I suspect the problem may lay here.

The other problem is with only a partial install there is no easy way to uninstall and start afresh. There are some bits of the program installed and some registry entries but it is defunct. may have to go elsewhere for AV
